Mr. Vanderyt serves as Vice President of Exploration at Quantent Energy. Prior to joining Quantent Energy in 2024, he served as Chief Geologist at Nadel and Gussman New Ventures where he conducted integrated reservoir studies in the Midland, Arkoma, and East Texas/NLA basins. Mr. Vanderyt was instrumental in identifying the company’s Haynesville postion, and oversaw the planning and steering of approximately 40 two-mile Haynesville laterals.

Mr. Vanderyt began his career at Samson Resources Company where he spent nine years serving in various geological roles of increasing importance. He worked a wide range of basins and plays in his role as Senior Geologist in his time at Samson, but his main area of focus has always been in the Gulf Coast. After leaving Samson, Mr. Vanderyt played a variety of geoscience roles at Newfield, Brigadier, and Nadel and Gussman New Ventures.

Mr. Vanderyt received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s Degree in Geology and Geophysics from Louisiana State University.
